The new Societies Act came into effect on Nov. 28, 2016. In the two years following that date, every pre-existing society in BC is by legislation required to “transition” to the new Act. Whereas the directors of the Society have recommended that the Society be designated as a member-funded society upon Transition under the new Societies Act of British Columbia (the “New Act”).
