We take the security of your payment information seriously. Credit and debit card payments made through our website are processed using Bambora/Shift4, a specialized payment processing provider.
How Your Card Information Is Protected
When you enter your credit card information through our online payment form, sensitive card details such as your card number, expiry date and security code (CVV) are entered directly into secure payment fields hosted by Bambora/Shift4.
Your complete credit card details are never sent to or stored on our website or servers. Instead, the payment provider securely exchanges your card information for a single-use payment token. Only this token, together with the information necessary to process and record your transaction, is sent to our server.
Secure Payment Processing
Our server submits the payment token to Bambora/Shift4 to complete the transaction. Because the token represents the payment information rather than containing the actual card details, our website does not need to receive or store your complete credit card number or CVV.
Installment Payments
If you choose an installment payment plan, your card details are not stored by our website for future payments. The initial payment is processed at the time of your transaction, and subsequent scheduled payments are established securely with Bambora/Shift4 for processing on their scheduled dates.
PCI DSS and Payment Security
Shift4 uses multiple layers of payment security and maintains PCI DSS compliance documentation. PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) establishes security requirements for organizations that process, store or transmit payment card information.
Encryption and Tokenization
Shift4 uses encryption and tokenization technologies to help protect payment information. Tokenization replaces sensitive card information with a token that can be used to process the transaction without exposing the original card details to our website.
What Happens When You Make a Payment?
- You enter your card number, expiry date and CVV into secure payment fields provided by Bambora/Shift4.
- Your card information is sent directly to the payment provider and exchanged for a single-use payment token.
- Our website receives the token, not your complete card details.
- Our server sends the token and transaction information to Bambora/Shift4 to process your payment.
- We receive the payment result needed to confirm and record your transaction.
At no point does our website store your complete credit card number or CVV.
